On October 13, 2022, Óbidos International Literature Festival (FOLIO) invites CELA talents to the stage!

The Óbidos International Literature Festival (FOLIO) had its first edition in 2015 and has become one of the main literary events in Portugal. With a diversified agenda that plays out for eleven days, FOLIO is divided into several strategic programming areas. Among the various initiatives, visitors will find exhibitions, concerts, masterclasses, book presentations, conferences, seminars, performances, author sessions, cinema, and many other activities. FOLIO is a crucial segment of the local development strategy. It is an ambitious and adventurous project that, besides being a meeting platform for languages and literature, intends, moreover, to be a discussion stage for current issues that concern contemporary societies. This festival does not limit literature to physical book spaces, but creates unexpected relationships, brings together collective understanding and sense of community. This year´s edition of 2022 is dedicated to the theme "THE POWER" and will feature two awarded Noble Prize for Literature: Olga Tokarczuk (Polish) and Wole Soyinka (Nigerian).
