Elissaveta Manolova Maciel is a university lecturer in Dutch as a Foreign Language and a freelance translator and interpreter. She holds a Master’s Degree in German and Dutch Studies and a specialisation in Translation and Interpretation Studies from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and a Master’s in Intercultural Studies from the same university. She has been a guest researcher at Karl Franzens University of Graz, Austria and Free University of Brussels, Belgium. Elissaveta Manolova Maciel is the screenwriter and director of Moon Cake, a documentary dedicated to the Chinese migrants in Bulgaria in co-operation with the Red House Centre for Culture and Debates, Sofia.
