Irina Georgescu Groza is a fiction writer from Romania. She debuted in 2016 with the short story collection Dincolo de ferestre (Beyond The Windows), a tapestry of imaginative tales that blur the lines between reality and fantasy. Noaptea dintre lumi (The Night Between Worlds) (2018), a novel weaving magical elements into realistic settings, was nominated for the Sofia Nădejde Literary Award in 2019. In 2021, Irina published Exodul mieilor (The Exodus Of The Lambs), a historical fiction that explores current European themes (exile, memory, identity). The book won the Cartea Discretă a Anului Award and was shortlisted by Romania for the European Union Prize for Literature. Some of Irina's short stories have won literary competitions, while her work has been published in Romanian anthologies and literary journals.
