Kieran Van Overwaele (2001, BE) studied Slavic Studies at Ghent University and translates from Bulgarian. After group translations of short stories by, among others, Alek Popov and Georgi Gospodinov, he was invited in 2025 as a literary translator to Crossing Border, where he translated the work of Joanna Elmy. He also occasionally writes poetry and translates literature from the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
