Nađa Petrović (1997) is a writer, screenwriter, and director from Belgrade. She holds a degree in dramaturgy and a master’s degree in film and television directing. She has published two novels: This is it (2015), winner of the Young Literary Supertalents competition, and Jellyfish Live Forever Until They’re Caught (2023), currently in its eighth edition. The latter was shortlisted for four major literary prizes, including the NIN Award, and won the Grozdana Olujić Award for Best Prose Book of 2023.
Her short stories have appeared in the anthologies City Corners, Student Stories, and Mokrin Knot. She has written dozens of short films screened at over 100 festivals worldwide, and is currently writing several feature films with directors Nebojša Slijepčević, Srdan Golubović, Bojan Vuletić, and Vladimir Tagić.
The short film she directed, The Smell of Fresh Paint (2024), won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Student Film.
