Stefanie Liebreks (1991) is an independent literary professional who works as an editor, agent and scout for several publishing houses and literary platforms. She studied Modern Dutch Literature at the University of Groningen and has a master’s degree in literary editing from the University of Amsterdam. She also works as an editor at the literary magazine DeRevisor, where she focuses on publishing poetry, essays and prose from emerging writers and translators. In 2021, Stefanie was the first winner of the Brandsalarm award for promising literary professionals. Additionally, Stefanie occasionally works as a podcast host, curates writing courses and literary programmes and hosts a monthly silent reading event in Amsterdam. The belief that literature is something to be cherished, protected, and celebrated is central to her work and she is dedicated to creating space for writers, translators and readers alike.
