Ilaria Garelli

Her childhood spent in Málaga with her grandfather made her a nomad and a passionate devourer of life, books, and foreign cultures.

She worked for EU organizations until 2016 writing, translating and managing cultural projects throughout Spain, Italy, and Germany. Afterward, she decided to pause and deepen her great passion: literature and translation.

She graduated in 2019 cum laude at the University of Turin with a Master’s degree in Modern Languages, with a translation from Spanish to Italian of the book Clases de Hebreo by Eduardo Halfon. Now, she teaches Spanish literature at Language High School in Italy and she recently worked as a freelance translator with the Italian publisher Polidoro Editori, translating from Spanish to Italian the book El peor scenario posible by Alejandro Morellón.
